Effective Jan. 26, 2014, USPS updated its rates for domestic and international shipping. We've updated this page to reflect the new rates and help you plan your orders. We will continue to offer fair shipping prices that represent the costs we incur for shipping and packaging. Please note: We do not make money on shipping.

Domestic orders are shipped via USPS within 48 hours, excluding shipping holidays (see bottom of this page) and weekends. Delivery confirmation is included in stated shipping rates, which makes your package trackable within the US. Please see shipping rates below.

During checkout, you will be presented with the shipping options that match the total weight of your order. For example, if your order weighs 10 oz, you will be presented with the option for First Class shipping at $4.50, Priority Mail shipping at $5.95 or Express Mail shipping at $20.95. Please note that choosing Express Mail expedites the shipping speed via USPS but it still takes us 1-2 business days (which excludes weekends and holidays) to process and prepare your order.
International buyers are responsible for any and all customs fees/duties/taxes assessed on your package. These fees are not included in your purchase total. Please familiarize yourself with your country's rules and regulations prior to ordering so you understand your obligations once the package arrives.
International packages shipped via USPS do not include delivery confirmation, package tracking or insurance. If you require any of these for your order, please contact us with your order details and shipping requirements so we can prepare a shipping estimate for you.
And like domestic orders (within the US), international orders are based on the total weight of your order as it is shipped. According to USPS rules and regulations, 4 pounds is the maximum weight allowed in Priority flat rate envelopes. This includes packaging and shipping materials. Please do not request us to overstuff packages as these will be rejected by USPS. As a general rule, we can fit 8 yards of most of our mid-weight quilting cottons in 1 flat rate envelope (and even less of bulkier fabrics like canvas and linen). The shipping estimate you see at checkout is the most accurate shipping rate.

During checkout, you will be presented with the shipping options that match the total weight of your order. For example, if your order weighs 10 oz and you're in Canada, you will be presented with the option for First Class shipping at $10.50, Priority Mail at $21.95 or Express Mail at $35.95. Priority Mail is faster than First-Class and Express Mail is faster than Priority. If you need your order very quickly, please select Express. Please note that choosing Express Mail expedites the shipping speed via USPS but it still takes us 1-3 business days (which excludes weekends and holidays) to process and prepare your order.
Customer happiness is a priority! If you are unhappy with your purchase, please let us know by contacting us via contact form. Remember to reference your order number in your message to us.
Our return guidelines are as follows:
- You can return your fabric purchase for up to 7 days after receipt for a refund. A 10% re-stocking fee will apply. Items must be in original condition. This means it must be uncut, unused, and stain and odor-free. (Here's a tip: When returning fabric, package it in the plastic bag it was sealed in when it was sent to you. This should help protect it from the elements during shipping.)
- Due to copyright laws, patterns, books and magazines may not be returned. Sorry, but there are no exceptions to this rule.
- Clearance fabric (that is, fabric priced at $7 or less per yard) may not be returned. No exceptions.
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges (unless we made a mistake, in which case the customer can be reimbursed up to the amount we would charge to ship you the item. Always contact us first if you are unsure of how to ship it).
Once returned items are received and deemed re-sellable, will we issue a refund via original payment method. Please allow up to 10 days after receipt for your refund to be processed.
We cannot assume responsibility for packages that are lost or damaged during transit. These are factors that are out of our control. If your package is lost, let us know and we'll provide any information that may be available. If you wish to do so, it will be your responsibility to file a claim with the post office.
We will not reship lost or damaged packages.
We strive to ship domestic orders within 48 hours, with the exception of weekends and holidays. (Yes, even we need to take a little time off!) We will observe the following holidays in 2014, and thus will not ship or respond to emails on these days:
